What have I been reading of late, What I think around twitter and why blogging is the best.
23 June 2009I have been finding a lot of great new blogs lately. I am unconvinced about all the twitter bustle. I still enjoy blogs and have a substantial number in my feed reader.
The cool thing about blogs is that you can find hidden treasures, and they are from individuals that in reality like to can write.
Sure you can notice some stylish individuals on twitter. But, seriously, twitter is for masses with attention defecit disorder or who dont like to write decent posts. Yes, rafts of people twitter and also blog, and those individuals are cool by me, but I am always and perpetually a blog devotee.
Blogs drive the author to really articluate their view. Twitter alternatively merely permits you to submit it. Call me old fashioned but I believe there is a point where smaller is no longer better. We have been obsessed with miniturization for so long. Peculiarly when it comes to technology. Certainly there has to be a level where we understand substance counts. Value matters. What do you think?
Possibly the realistic answer dwells in equilibrium. And compromise. You cannot squeeze people to have substance and not be superficial. But, too perhaps you need to pressure the neo libral hippies to lighten up a touch aswell?
